What the hell are these?
« on: February 01, 2010, 12:50:19 AM »
It is quite common to find anomalies on Google Earth and Google Street, but have a look at these. What could they be? ON the first link - the blobby thing in the air - click and grab the picture and look below the object and slightly to its right at road level. Loads of "orbs". Up in one of the clouds as well.

HERE

The second object is an extraordinary looking thing in the sky, but I wonder if it is a problem with the camera? Double exposure or something.

Any thoughts on these?

The first one...absolutely no clue. It's very odd.
The second one looks like clouds but it can't be...click full screen. Very strange.

But what do you make of the "Orbs", No.10? They might be alien spirits heading back to their Lightship, having just inspected the bridge for structural integrity, prior to using it as a landing pad for their galactic "Star Cruiser".

See, you never know what these little buggers are up to....  ;D

Take a very very careful look at the center of the image, then ask yourself a question,
why is there an after image of a lamp post up above the lampost image itself?

To the trained eye this is just someone arsing about.

I didn't catch that the first time babe but...
Is it all the same lamp post, just broken up by what looks like light clouds or brightness from the daylight in the picture?

Pic 2 is a twig or branch in a double exposure.

Yep, it  d e f i n i t e l y could be that, Sal. Looks like a pine branch, doesn't it? As a matter of interest, how do you get a double exposure on a digital camera?   :-\  Often wondered....

So it's not a camera fault, as such, but caused by the processing later. Umm, makes sense. Okay, thank you.  :-*

How do we know know they use digital imaging for streetview? Might be better for them to have real negatives as hard copy than digital copies. Negatives can be scanned too.

Good question, but I would have thought that the sheer number of images and the huge task of processing them quickly would dictate that digital techniques were essential.... but I don't know sweet FA about photography.  :-\
